The truth hurts.

Thats what I have discovered the last days over what wallpaper should we remove from KDE to make room for the new ones.
Nobody loves my vector sunset. Snif snif, don't get it it has no bubbles nor is it black it as a bit but ist not to much, and now its going away, and im going to cry :).... OO cruel cruel world.
And now I have to say goodbye to my all time favorite best wallpaper.

Vector sunset, we had some fun times didnt we ? :)
P.S. never fear all of the ones we remove will be just moved to KDE artwork ;)

we wont let you die my precious. nhaahahhahaha, my prechioussss :)

Don't worry!

Maybe the colours remember the Gnome Desktop.

Good job!

Well, I like that wallpaper... It's good that it'll be on kdeartwork.

A little bit offtopic but I'll ask anyway...:) I am using KDE trunk and I haven't seen those beautiful kmix icons you made on kmix yet , although they are on Oxygen... what happened? They must be there for 4.3 :)

Keep up the excellent work!

I like your sunset, unfortunaltely colours dont match popular KDE colorsets

Agreed, it's the colors. Confirmation that Ubuntu's browness is indefensible.

Agreed, it's the colors. Confirmation that Ubuntu's browness is a widely recognized bummer.

Naah don't say that, I love your vector sunset wallpaper, I used it for a while !

Don't you have enough making all other icons sets and plasma themes look like poor noob attempts? ;-)

It's been my wallpaper for the last six months or so and will be for some more time ...

I've never used it because I stick to a few wallpapers I really love, but that's one of the KDE wallpapers that really stood out for me. Must be my zen side showing :)

I didn't see it before, and I really like it, but if I were going to put a sunset as my desktop wallpaper, probably I would choose a *real* one. In my opinion, vector graphics are good for many applications aimed at synthesizing (icons, cartoons...), but to express or transmit emotions nobody can beat the subtle nuances of a real image.

Nuno, I'm using it since a month ago!

Thank you very much for your work!

I find real images more relaxing than computer-made ones.

To me the wallpaper should be a window to the real world, with lots of nature.
It's much the same thing as a worker putting photos of his wife/kids in the workplace. They help to lessen the pain of work.

To everybody Iḿ not realy upset or anything I just find interesting that so many people dislike it...

Untrue! Vector Sunset is great, and one of the few KDE wallpapers that I was able to put up with for a longer time.

The Sunset is going away, a tear will be shed.

Could you post a full version of the wallpaper

This would be very cool

Good wallpaper, but yeah, probably doesn't fit in with KDE schema. Didn't see it in KDE 4.2 though, hmm.

Well, at least you are not being arrogant and a douchefag as Aaron Seigo was/is.

How many times did we told him to add the ability to hide the cashew and he replied that he wont, that just shows that he wont listen to the users, and it's really disrespectful.

You at least show that you hear the users and that's a good thing.

Neverendingo said...

Sorry to hear that. Actually i used it on one of my desktops.

Well, i will keep a copy around. But always looking forward to more stunning work from you.

I am using it for months now at home and am now installing it at work. It is very pleasant to look at. Thank you for it!
